This conference will overview transition planning, how it relates to the Individualized Education Program (IEP), and how transition services can help prepare students to move from school to adulthood.
Occupational therapists have expertise in technology, task and work analysis, behavior and psychosocial needs, sensory processing, and independent living skills, which prepares them to assume a vital role in transition planning for students. Learn how the occupational therapist can work collaboratively with the IEP team to share resources and responsibility in addressing the student's goals and plans.
