Many students with autism and other disabilities have difficulty modulating the information that comes through their senses. These students, in either craving sensory input or avoiding it, may have poorly controlled behavior which negatively impacts school participation. This session will focus on the theory of sensory modulation and how to best support individuals who struggle managing the sensory information within the school environment.

Objectives:
1. Participants will better understand the components of sensory modulation theory.
2. Participants will be able to identify appropriate sensory strategies to support students given their unique sensory modulation style.
3. Participants will be able to describe necessary components for self-awareness instruction.
