Description:
The Ohio Center for Deafblind Education (OCDBE) is offering
professional development for educational sign language interpreters
in Ohio. The training will focus on strategies that can be used in the
classroom when working with a student who has combined vision
and hearing loss. Participants will have time to practice the
techniques they learn using simulator goggles and blindfolds.
Additional information will be available on support service providers
(SSP), identifying students who are deafblind and resources.
Heather Endres, BSW, NIC Advanced, will facilitate the training.
Lunch will be provided for all participants.
