Description:
This is a wonderful training opportunity for First Responders!!  It's critical that law enforcement and first responders are educated on autism!  Please note that this training is for First Responders ONLY!

CEU available!  This course has been approved by the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education for 4.25 total CLE hours instruction.

Presenters:  
Captain William Cannata, Jr (Retired) has been a member of the fire service for more than 30 years and is the Program Director of "Autism and Law Enforcement Coalition (ALEC)" formed in 2003.  He is also a parent of a young man with autism.

Lieutenent Jimmy Donohoe is the creator of the "Take Me Home Program"  a database where participants who are unable to speak or properly identify themselves to police officers register with a photo, physical description, and contact information so first responders can provide any special assistance that may be required when contact with a person with autism occurs.  He is also a parent of a young man with autism.
