About the Presenter: Ashlen Glenn is a licensed professional counselor, who works at Westwood Behavioral Health Center. As a Certified Trauma Practitioner Ashlen specializes in  working with students and families who have been through traumatic  experiences.

Topic Overview: In this training you will be equipped with an awareness and understanding of trauma. Trauma's effect on the brain will be explored as well as education on the symptoms of trauma. We will identify how to support the child in the home and school environments as well as resiliency factors that promote healing. Upon completion a working knowledge of suicide awareness and prevention will also be gained.
