OCECD 2023 In Review Year End

As 2023 ends we look towards 2024

The Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities (OCECD) is a statewide nonprofit organization that serves families of infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities in Ohio, as well as the educators and agencies who provide services to them. We seek to help parents become informed and effective representatives for their children in all educational settings.

As we approach the end of another transformative year, we find ourselves filled with gratitude and reflection. It has been a journey of growth, resilience, and shared accomplishments. 2023 has been a year of milestones and memorable moments for OCECD. Together, we've navigated challenges, celebrated successes, and strengthened the bonds that make our community so special. As we take a moment to look back, we are inspired by the collective effort that has fueled our progress.

Our last annual report showed OCECD staff had contact with, and provided services to 398,168 parents, family members, professionals, and others. Additionally, 7,460 individuals attended OCECD training workshops and 30,010 individuals reached us through social media posts and engagement. 87,608 calls, letters, texts, or emails were processed by OCECD staff.

Looking ahead to 2024, we are filled with optimism and excitement. We have ambitious plans and new initiatives on the horizon, and we can't wait to embark on this journey with you. All of us at the Coalition send you gratitude for allowing us to serve you. We wish you a joyous holiday season and a fantastic start to the New Year. May it be filled with success, happiness, and continued collaboration.
